Too often reproductions of scooters get the details wrong but this one is a very attractive example. I especially like the black tire detail. From Sweetpea & Willow in London & Ireland, this glorified paperweight is made of aluminum and measures 25cm x 10cm x 16cm. And hooray, they will ship overseas.

Thanks to Julie G. for this find.

I don’t like riding b*tch. Makes me too nervous. But these silhouettes make riding cupcake seem so romantic. The 10″ melamine plate is $24. Visit the site to see the whole selection featuring these scooter silhouettes, including prints, cards, etc.

Last year I got all excited when I found a Triumph Tigress-esque valentine. Well it turns out I am a very lucky girl. Because a designer at Pottery Barn was probably one of the people I was bidding against on eBay. They feature the same valentine on a $12 card set, in a $20 plastic tumbler set, a $26 melanine plate set, in a paper heart garland and in a floor puzzle (available only in the stores.) Here’s a buying tip – if you just want the scooter plate, go to the stores and grab one. They’re just $6.50 and display wonderfully. The folks at my local store said everything would go on sale the week before Valentine’s Day.

Many thanks to Cara!

This is a limited edition screen print of “The Weekenders,” taken from UK artist Pete McKee’s latest exhibition “Great Moments in Popular Music.” I just love the Northern Soulie aspect to this scene, all the red and white and the little heart on the girl’s helmet … (clearing throat) which makes it perfect as a gift for Valentine’s Day. These special prints are individually hand printed, and finished by the artist. Each is also signed and numbered. There will only be 75 copies made and the prints measure 60 cm x 60 cm. Cost? £345.00

Cost Plus World Market came out with the wallet-friendly fenderlight Christmas ornaments but they also carry a lot of other scooter merchandise like these glasses. You can buy a set online or visit their stores to buy just one to hold your toothbrushes. The set of four is $15.96. Other designs feature the London skyline and a red telephone box as well as Paris and a little Fiat. Made in Italy.

Where to even begin with this one? We’ve featured other Bradford Exchange Limited Edition Lambretta collectibles here before including, of all things, a Faberge-type musical egg (?!?) but this clock beats all for outrageous swagitude. Alas, it doesn’t appear to be available at the Bradford Exchange site anymore. But if you want one, prepare to pay at least £125 for one.

Sorry for the bad pun but it couldn’t be contained. We featured Gnome Masters work here this past summer and now he has released a Santa gnome for the holiday season. The price is $40 for an outdoors painted gnome and $45 for an indoors version. He measures 11″ tall and weighs in at 13 lbs and his scooter is painted a metallic glitter red with gold trim.

We’ve featured these fellows before, but Harvey Nichols seems to have expanded their line to include aprons, coaster, tablemats, tea towels, oven gloves, a coffee stand and the aforementioned pasta. That’s the good news. The bad news is that you have to be over in the UK to order. Time to make some friends in London, don’t you think?

Thanks to Dave J. for the find and the photo!

On sale now is this cute kid’s t-shirt at Gymboree. Regularly $21.95 it’s now $9.99 and comes in sizes 3-12. For those crafters out there who are pug and scooter obsessed, snapping up a couple of these to make into a pillow or a totebag or even frameable art just might be the ticket. After all Valentine’s Day is fast approaching.
