Here are some greeting cards that were spotted recently. Several can be personalized with the recipient’s name. The first is from UK Card Shop 1973 . The second one is from Hallmark Greetings Hallmark Greetings online and can be personalized and is perfect for a scooter husband’s birthday. And the last is from an online card shop called Greeting Card Universe where they have quite a few personalize-able scooter cards.

Thanks to Julie G. for a couple of these finds.

This letterpress printed scooter pop-up was used to promote “Los Vesparados” – a scooter themed art show in Minneapolis circa 2009. By folding it together, you could have your very own paper scooter to ride around on your desk. Must have cost a fortune to do but oh was it worth it.

The art work and design was created by illustrator/photographer/designer Sean Tubridy:

Here’s one more thing to covet. The poster for the event:

Martin was kind enough to send me some more photos of his stupendous scooterswag collection.

And here’s a link to Scooterswag’s first post about his collection.

Enjoy!

“Kawaii!” means “Cute!” in Japanese and if anyone is the best at doing cute, it would have to be the Japanese. These stickers can be had for $6.50 and minimal shipping. And who can resist little scooter riding cartoons encouraging you “Happy Ride!!” and “GO! GO! Through the wind!!” ???

Hi all,

The publicity folks for this new scooter movie have given me a real nice prize package to give away:

A $25 gas gift card, Larry Crowne T-shirt (which is a very cool silhouette of a P200 by the way) & a notebook.

If you live in the States and want to see the film then be the first to e-mail me your mailing address at tips (at) scooterswag.com and you’ll be the winner!

The movie opens today (July 1) and rumor has it whoever wrote the script for this movie must of hung out with the real scooter crowd in LA as the characters go to some of the very same places and go on the same rides.

Here’s a trailer:

Good luck!

And we have a winner! Karen J. in Maryland sent me an e-mail at 1:14 pm today. Congrats Karen!

Christmas is still six months away, but I couldn’t resist posting about this card I happened on while looking for something else. It measures 4.5″x 6.25″ and 8 cards & envelopes are $12.00. The inside line is as shown: “Have a Dashing Christmas.” Not your typical holiday sentiment. Even better is the fact that those are two women on the Lambretta!

Spotted this card at a Kinkos/Fed Ex store.
The inside reads: “it’s good to have friends along for the ride.”
