Is that a scooter I see? . . . why yes it is!!

Shag and Portland-based Dark Horse Comics have gotten together to produce some fine consumer goods that feature some scooters. (Cause Shag loves his scooter swag). See past entries by searching “shag” on this site. The first set is called “Supersonic Stationery” with a spacey travel theme and the second set is called “Dangerous Women” which features a Pharoah riding his Heinkel with his pet Anubis in the sidecar. And of course you think, “Yeah, a Heinkel is exactly what a Pharoah would have. It’s so obvious . . ”
You can order from Dark Horse directly:

I’m also including some wrapping paper swatches of some of his past efforts although these are now very hard to find. I came across a roll of the wedding paper at Wild Oats last week but I hadn’t seen any at this store for two years so I think it was inventory that got lost for awhile and I just lucked out. The wedding wrapping paper would match the greeting card Cassie posted recently and is made by Roger La Borde. His title for it is “Rhinestone Wedding” and there was also another wrapping paper that was very scootery with orange and purple being the main color scheme. I can’t find a photo of this one anywhere. The microcar one I include because I like microcars. So there.

Quickutz Scooter for Crafting, Scrapbooking

I almost hesitate to put this one up because I’m assuming you have to buy some outrageously expensive tool in order to use the dies. (Which I couldn’t seem to find.) But these dies are all over eBay for fairly cheap if you look and since ScooterSwagers are so clever I’ll trust you to figure it out. Here’s a store that carries the Scooter Die for order even though it’s been officially retired:

SSOSS! (Strawberry Shortcake Scooter Sightings)

Thanks to Jamie R. for this one. I just knew there had to be more Strawberry Shortcake scooter out there. Last year I’m not ashamed to admit that I spent several dollars at a grocery store bubble gum machine trying to get her scooter sticker. Argh! I was a frustrated 8-year-old all over again. Anyhoo, this is a scratch-n-sniff (Eeeeee!) postcard from a book called “Strawberry Shortcake’s World of Friends” which also includes a scooter sticker. Not sure if the sticker is also scratch-n-sniff? Available at Amazon and probably your local drugstore:

LeSportSac bags

TokidokiBag.JPG

Tokidoki has a bunch of bags and accessories available in their new “Transporto” print which is hella cute and includes some scooters. www.lesportsac.com

2006 print also had a scooter!

Tracy butting in here.

Both of the bags above are in the Transporto print which is pretty hard to find now – bags are over $100 on eBay and I’m not finding any stores on the web that sell these. The LeSportSac web site is showing only a black and white pattern with no scooters. But if you find them – KAWAII! Very cute. The “Transporto” print is made by LeSportSac and was designed by famous Japanese designer Tokidoki who has a huge following on the web. I think it’s neat the LeSportSac has become a cultish fashion item – I only remember their ugly stuff that was kind of a joke!

Here’s a close-up of the Transporto print:

The ‘Trasporto’ print is indeed currently available on the lesportsac site. The default view of the bags is the black/white print (‘Tutti’). Over to the right, click on the ‘Trasporto print’ to see it on a bag, and you can click BUY IT! if you want to get it. They’re over $100 here, too, so compare the retail price to eBay price..
