Here’s a lovely Pima Cotton shirt in heather gray. It comes with a slightly scooped neckline in sizes from XS to XXL. I like the details on the lady rider with her vintage aviatrix helmet. It’s $24.95 at the Gap:

“Parked Up” by Janet Hunter
Janet Hunter contacted ScooterSwag to tell us about a Kindle book she’s written. It’s about being a scootergirl in 1980s Britain. I took a peek and it looks really interesting. And it’s just $3.70 on Amazon!
Here’s a blurb from the cover:
“Being seventeen isn’t easy. It’s so hard finding out who you want to be. Annie knows. She wants to be a scooterist. But is becoming one as easy as buying a scooter and attending a few rallies? Annie is determined to find out.
With her up-for-anything friend June tagging along as vital support, Annie enters the world of scooter clubs and Northern Soul music. At first she thinks she wants to be one of the boys but when she discovers that this isn’t going to happen she sets out to define her own role, finding love and influence along the way.
‘Parked Up’ is a funny and heart-warming story about human relationships between a group of kids on the cusp of adulthood united by their love of Vespas and Lambrettas.
A scooter paint job that won’t break the bank.
Just $19.95 for a crafty good time. Just bake in the oven for a glossy finish.

Paris Scene Necklaces
Take a trip to Paris for £10.00. The top necklace is a copy of a Collette necklace that originally retailed for $120. The necklace below is the Collette and will take a bit more hunting to be found.

No Deadpool. It’s a scooter.
For a sec I thought this was another Spiderman on a scooter but that goes to show you my lack of knowledge on the subject of superheroes. Forgive me. This is Deadpool, who will be played by Ryan Reynolds (aka Green Lantern) in 2014. Wikipedia describes this Marvel character as a “disfigured and mentally unstable mercenary” who was originally a villain but now is an antihero or the “Merc with a Mouth.” Swoon!
The top figurine pictured is one of those pricey limited edition collectibles and can be yours for $319.00. The bottom figurines go to the rare swag category but are probably available is you’re willing to dig both in your wallet and through the web. Maybe we’ll be lucky and Ryan will be riding a scooter in the movie which will mean movie toys!
Thanks to Tom C. for this find.
The British are Coming . . . eventually.
Why the proviso? Because this Michael Miller fabric seems to out of stock or on back order on several sites. Still, many will no doubt think it’s worth waiting for. Also, this print is actually denim so there are some fashion possibilities here. Mini skirt anyone? It’s priced at around $8.95 a yard.

Cezeta Owners of Kalifornia (C.O.C.K.)
It could happen to you!
At just under $10, this may be the perfect gift for the expecting and scootery lady. Or just the perfect gag gift. The book does have 4 1/3 stars on Amazon which is nothing to sniff at.

My Little Pony — “Twilight Sparkle”
How can you resist a name like “Twilight Sparkle”? Answer: You can’t. Note the little kitty that’s riding in back. There’s always a little kitty riding in the back. It’s practically de rigueur for these uber cute toys. As if a purple pony in its own pink scooter just isn’t cute enough. Anyhoo, “Twilight Sparkle” can be had for $11.48 on Amazon.
And I just found out there is a little pony named “Scootaloo” but it seems like it rides a motorized skateboard type scooter. Ah well. You can’t have everything.
Thanks to Alex P. for this great find.
