“Joe Bar Team” is a French comics series about two wheeled commuters and all the things they encounter just getting around. Of course one of the characters rides a scooter. This model is hand painted, measures approximately 4″ tall and costs 14 Euro.

Here’s a heirloom worthy wooden scooter from traditional French toy maker Janod. Unlike other wooden toy scooters we have featured, this one has a lot more gorgeous details like a pretend headlight, painted chrome trim and a speedo! This one also seems to be more adjustable for growing kids. The idea behind balance toys like this is to help children learn coordination skills and prep them for bicycle riding. So it’s like training wheels for training wheels. The Janod is lightweight (8.9 lbs.), measures 30.3 x 13.2 x 20.1 inches and features inflatable tires and adjustable seat. It comes in “mint” and “vanilla” colors and is on sale at Amazon for $89.95. Sorry but the chicken is not included. (I know! That makes me sad too.)
Thanks to Julie G. for the photos and the find!
This Modish scooter necklace features little moddettes and a scooter as it’s centerpiece. It measures approximately 16″ long with a 3″ extender. The drop is 3.5″. It costs $55.
Artist Kristin Lora in Seattle designs all kinds of gorgeous and funky earrings but these of course are the best. (Although her deer head brooch is pretty dang cute.) The pair measure approximately 1.5″ tall, are made of plastic and sterling silver and are one of a kind. They are $118.00.
