Many of you have probably already seen one or two photos of this incredible work of art, but finding more photos of its construction spurred me to post about it. Portuguese craftsman Carlos Alberto fashioned his Vespa from laminated wood. Taking a Vespa which had fallen into complete disrepair, he used woodcraft techniques to create a completely new body for it. The main frame of the scooter is fashioned from steam bent and laminated veneers on which the gorgeously carved body work hangs. Even the package tray and seat are made from wood!
