Lullaby Linen Vespa Scooter Kids Bedding Comforter Blanket Sheets

We featured this scooter fabric last year and now someone has thankfully gone to the trouble of making it into adorable bedding. But (sigh) it’s not cheap. Prices range from $70.40 (USD) for a cushion to $330 for a Double Quilt Cover or Duvet. And those are sale prices apparently. To see all the sizes available visit this Australian site .

Pooped? Get pupped.

While absent mindedly flipping through a pet supply catalog (and why are these always so DOG-centric?) I came across another pair of cute PJ Salvage dog + scooter pajamas. The last pair we featured was a print of a lot of dog breeds a lot of different kinds of scooters. This print is simpler, but it’s definitely more mod and international with French flags, the Union Jack, Old Glory and isn’t that a French bulldog? You can order kids-sized PJs (2T to 10 years old) for $33. And there are several style choices for adults like a long v-neck nightshirt with a button front ($52), a long sleeve top or pants for $50, and $100 for both the top and pants. All are made of a thermal style fabric with 55% cotton and 45% rayon.

Diggin Skootcase for roamin’ holidays.

Ah bliss! When I first started seeing the adorable ride on toy suitcases at the airport I just knew that it wouldn’t be long before there would be a scooter. It was inevitable.

So here is the “Diggin Skootcase” that comes in blue and pink. It measures 15.8 x 18.5 x 8.1 inches and weighs in at 6.6 pounds. It fits in overhead compartments, can be ridden or carried on a shoulder strap and is so cute it makes my teeth hurt. And although it’s meant for kids, I can predict more than a few scooter girls will want to rock these at out of town rallies. $69 at Amazon with Free Shipping.

Be sure to watch the video of the little boy and girl having a brief romance on their scooter suitcases. Shows all the suitcases’ neat tricks and is just very well done. Almost makes me wish I was wee:

The cat’s monkey’s pajamas.

Prepare for the squeees! Here’s an adorable little girl monkey riding a pink scooter … on pajamas. I actually know quite a few of the scooterists in “The Emerald City Flying Monkeys Scooter Club” (Seattle, WA) and I know they’re going to be pissed that this doesn’t come in adult sizes. Sorry guys! Still for $14.94 you can suit up your little one in a size range of 6 Months to Age 5.

The romper/onesie (featuring a white Vespa) comes in a twin pack with a striped print and is $38. It’s available in sizes 0-3 mos to 18-24 mos. And the long johns featuring the same print come in a twin pack for $48 in sizes 1 1/2 years to 14 years.

Calling all Scooter Nerds (and their bairn)!

Target should just get it over with and change their red and white logo to the mod rondelle. They consistently have lots of mod themed and scooter stuff in every aisle of their wonderful store.

The latest proof: The Harajuku Mini clothing and accessories collection. The scooter — with training wheels! — makes appearences throughout the “Nerds” theme of this line. Designed by Gwen Stefani who had the same designs in adult sizes back in 2008 and covered in this post here.

The sizes for this clothing are a wee bit smaller, fitting newborns and toddlers. Prices are very reasonable with $19 for the coveralls and $13 for the shirt shown here. Stores will no doubt carry other styles, sizes and even school supplies with this design so explore your local Target soon!

Last but not least, here’s a link to the cute Harajuku TV commercial now running. No scooter in it, but still worth a look:

It’s a mad mad mad mod world!

I really love this book. It’s like a mash-up of Richard Scarry books with some mod sensibility. It’s very witty with something to puzzle over on every page. And yes, a scooter plays a prominent role.

Here’s the description from Amazon:
“In a distinctive oversize package and illustrated with Joëlle Jolivet’s signature retro, eye-catching style, Oops! follows a family through the streets of Paris as they try to get to the airport for their vacation. Back at their apartment, their house-sitting aunt slips on some soap, setting off a chain reaction of events that create some extreme roadblocks for the family’s trip. A movie shoot, a parade, policemen, rampaging bears, aliens, and much more collide in this remarkable new picture book adventure. The book includes a gatefold page at the end that explains in detail the train of chaos on the previous pages.”

It’s the love pug!

On sale now is this cute kid’s t-shirt at Gymboree. Regularly $21.95 it’s now $9.99 and comes in sizes 3-12. For those crafters out there who are pug and scooter obsessed, snapping up a couple of these to make into a pillow or a totebag or even frameable art just might be the ticket.
