This is one dangerous site. Retroplanet.com has way too much scooter stuff all packed into it with reasonable prices. You can order tin signs as well as magnets for both Lambretta and Vespa. Prices range from $3.99 to $19.99. To see all their scooter stuff, click here.
Thanks to Daniel S. for this find!
VinMag.com scans in vintage advertising from their library and then prints it on thick paper. The overall print size is 30x40cm (approximately 12×16 inches). There is a plain border of about 1cm around the image to allow for framing if required. Priced at £5.99.
Thanks to Julie G. for this find!
Remember when I asked about the baby carriage-scooter-sidecar combination I swore I had seen? Well as you can see, it DID exist. As a crazy promotion for Lambretta back in the 50s.
A safer bet may be the Vespa-ish “Roddler” Hot Rod Baby Carriage at just $2000:
It features “two rear and one front chrome wheels with fin-shaped fenders and white wall tires, color-matching brakes, wheel bullets, chassis, seat, and top, stainless steel hardware, chrome grips, an ultrasuede seat insert for comfort and carbon vinyl leatherette for the seat and top for added durability.” Or you can order one with a “Trike Kit” at $2,500 and transform the stroller into a trike when your kid is ready to take the wheel.
Thanks to Doughnut for this find!
(Be sure to see a similarly crazy Vespa promotion that South Africa is doing in a recent ScooterSwag post.)
Well darn. This post was scheduled to appear on New Year’s Eve but didn’t.
Ah well . . . here are some perpetual calendars you won’t have to replace year after year. With month and day wheels, just spin for the date. Available at Scooterworks – type “calendar” in the search engine to see all the choices.
Oh joy! Oh rapture! I have been complaining bitterly about the lack of Esso Oil Drops merc over here in the States for awhile now:
Earlier Esso Post
I get the fact that we don’t have Esso stations here but still . . . Now my beloved Motorsport Scooters is carrying the Esso Oil Drop candy (top picture) based on the original oil can (bottom) which you sometimes find on eBay for $200 or more. Apparently a lot of the new Esso merch is coming out of Japan? This measures 4 inches tall by 3 inches wide and is $12.99. Limited supplies so don’t delay!
PS: They also have Esso Oil Drops on Scooter Patches now too!
Thanks to Julie G. for this wild find. We don’t normally post Esty or CafePress items up on ScooterSwag because the quality can vary wildly from one thing to the next and there’s nothing sadder than a disappointed scooterist with bum swag. Still these “New Old Stock” and “Never Removed from Packaging” stockings are just too unique to ignore. I think the package should read “Small Frame Stockings”!?
