Here’s an ad with bias against beatniks but a favorable attitude towards Lambrettas. Of course beatniks may not be partial to shaving and snazzy shirts but some do like scooters as in this song:

Fedrigoni Vespa Paper Sculpture
Happy New Year ScooterSwaggers!
Fedrigoni is an Italian paper manufacturer with over a century of history. To celebrate an exhibition in their London showroom in 2010, graphic artist Laura Quatrill made several models of classic Italian design. These included the Sapper Alessi kettle, the Olivetti typewriter and of course the Piaggio Vespa. The models were made out of Fedrigoni papers and were mailed to customers flat and unconstructed to invite customers to the exhibit.

Here’s a vintage Santa, a pin up girl and a Vespa for your enjoyment. This looks a lot like my 1960 Vespa VBA 150. Here it is in slightly warmer days on the Oregon Coast:
Fall Forward.
Here in the States (well most states) we set our clocks back an hour in that fall. Imagine that. We just “poof” lose an hour. Where does it go? We get it back in the Spring (Spring Back) but I just want my time to stay put. I’m losing it on my own fast enough. Love the new packaging on the Starbucks Italian Roast – very vroooomy. This may be the packaging for the Fair Trade beans or the Dark Roast only? Let’s hope they come out with matching coffee mugs . . .
