ScooterSwag featured this fabric last year and ModCloth.com wisely made some fashion out of it. A neat detail is that the scooters are displaying paint jobs of houndstooth, gingham and seersucker patterns. It costs $64.99 and comes in sizes XS-XL and runs small.
Here are some new scootery baby clothes from both Baby Gap and Old Navy.
First up is a mod number that looks like a top and bottom set but is actually a onesie. It’s 100% cotton and snaps at the shoulder and inseam. Sizes are from newborns to 2 years. It’s $19.95 at Baby Gap.
The pink two-piece dog-centric number is also 100% cotton and is now on sale at Old Navy for $10.00 but only the 18-24 mos. size is left. So hurry!
Here’s a $42.00 sunglass or eyeglass case from the always stylish (and expensive) Jonathan Adler who obviously has a fondness for scooters. (Good on him!) It’s handmade needlepoint on wool on one side and velvet and the Adler monogram on the back. It’s padded inside and measures 3.5″ X 7″. The ties are silk/cotton and $95.00 each. To see other Adler swag we’ve posted click here .

Here’s a whole slew of scooter goodness for you from the online UK retailer “Not On The High Street.” They have a selective application process for sellers and want only the unique and well-made. They are especially interested in supporting small British businesses — both designers and manufacturers. And it’s easy ordering for us Yanks.
I especially like the scooter girl wallets/clutches and the two-wheel sprint scarf featuring both bicycles and Vespas.
Scooterpatch.com (in the bright orange banner under our own banner) has introduced a new kind of patch for this scooter rally season. Now you can choose from embroidered or woven patches. What’s the difference? Embroidered patches are sewn of course. And it’s the thread gives the images on patches a nice 3D quality. But you are limited to how small you can make lettering and other details.
Woven patches are flat and are made on an electronic loom so a much finer thread can be used which lets you do much smaller details like 1/8″ tall lettering or even smaller. Take a look at the samples above. Then think of the brand and size labels in your clothing. Now you’ve got the idea.
Jeff Bass, owner of scooterpatch.com, describes it this way: “Embroidery is analog and woven is digital.”
Be sure to peruse their site to see more examples, see the other goodies they can make and get a special ScooterSwag offer .
Julius the Paul Frank Monkey looks like he’s on his way to woo with a baquette, champagne and a pretty P200. The shirt is in Junior’s sizes and is $12.99.
Thanks to Thomas C. for this find!
Right now the esteemed UK-based institution that is Marks & Spencer is doing an international shipping promotion by making shipping to the US, Canada, Australia and New Zealand free for a limited time.
With that in mind you might consider this two-pack of mod scooter cotton pjs for ages 18 mos to 8 years. The price ranges from £9.00 to £13.00. One set has a scooter print and the other is a white shirt with striped bottoms for mixing and matching.
Thanks to Alice D. for this find!
I’ll be honest. I’m afraid of these footed pajamas. I’m afraid that my friends will stop going out. That they will stay home in their completely cuddly scooter pjs and they will think “Screw it. I’ll ride when it’s warmer. I’m comfy.” I’m also afraid that I will be start seeing people wear these during scooter rallies. For all three days of a scooter rally. ((Shudder.)) Oh Gawd. I just gave you all the idea, didn’t I?
Well, if you positively must have them, then here’s ya go. They’re available online for $39.95. They’re polar fleece and they come in a variety of unisex sizes. And yes they come with the drop seat butt-flap ((cringing)) and the grippy foot bottoms. You also get a full body zipper ((writhing in fetal position now)) and two “kangaroo” pockets. Hurry. Rally season is just around the corner. And winter isn’t done with us yet no matter what that groundhog said.
Thanks to Polianarchy for this great find? ; )
Sorry – for (little) girls only! This tee is $28 and is sprinkled with a discreet bit of sparkle. Fits ages 8-16.
