Spotted on eBay recently, this statue was made by the UK giftware and collectibles maker “Leonardo.” Dated 2004, it’s labeled “Silver Dreams” and measures approximately 5 3/4″ tall.
Here’s the cutest key chain I have ever seen. I am so tempted to buy a gross of these!
The headlight lights up with an led bulb when you push the tail! Just $6 at GamaGo. You don’t have to join their site to order.
Thanks so much to Heather M. for this find!
All apologies to Depeche Mode. Now we’ve featured tikis riding scooters before in the form of a mug but never actual tiki-tikis. These occasionally pop up on eBay now and then. Any scooter enthusiast who’s also tiki nuts will have to have one. Besides who knows what bad mechanical mojo they may dispel?
Not sure exactly what kind of scooters those are but as this is the first toy I’ve ever seen with a scooter trailer does it matter? It may still be available at Etsy for $25.
Thanks to Julie G. for this find!
Have you been good girls and boys over the summer? Well here’s a cartoon and a toy for you. The cartoon is called “Rude Boy Lives” and is from the new Scooby Doo series “Mystery Incorporated.” It actually features ska loving scooter riding skeletons chasing down the usual suspects. It’s a-mah-zing. The toy is called the “Mystery Machine Ghost Patrol” and features a scooterish object to help Shaggy capture ghosties. It came out a few years ago so it’s not impossible to find.
Thanks to Joe B. for this find!
Here’s an example from my fellow scooterist Coady R. of the Slugrockets Scooter Club. They had their first annual “Big Wood” Scooter Rally near where they reside in Humboldt County, California. And yes they rode through hollowed out Redwoods. This paperweight was purchased during the rally and then righteously hacked into a more suitable souvenir.
So the Cute Bunnies and Kitties Scooter Club had a craft night recently and we made (or in my case attempted to make) some felted scooters like the pink one Nicole made. ScooterSwag’s regular contributor Cassie was an overachiever. Not only did she make a scooter in about an hour’s time but added a kitty rider made from hair she brushed off her cats and some whiskers she had saved. I was still trying to get a basic scooter shape after about two hours time and sorta added one tire.
Curious what’s involved in felting? Here’s a video showing the basics.
