I have always loved vintage waterslides. I have a vague recollection of applying them to my bicycle when I was very small. Gosh that dates me! Anyhoo, here is a prime specimen spotted on eBay recently. If you’d like to wallow in a little more vintage goodness (and some rather randy imagery), click below.
Gotta love a travel book with a mint Lambretta Starstream on it.
“Only a renaissance man could have described this glorious city in its heyday. And only Carlo Levi, writer, painter, politician and one of the last century’s most celebrated talents, could depict Rome at the height of its optimism and vitality after World War II. In Fleeting Rome, the era of post war ‘La Dolce Vita’ is brought magnificently to life in the daily bustle of Rome’s street traders, housewives and students at work and play, the colourful festivities of Ferragosto and San Giovanni, the little theatre of Pulcinella al Pincio; all vibrant sights and sounds of this ancient, yet vital city.”
Published in 2005, it’s available for $15.95.

I think the bubble over the scooter should read “Go!!” Because isn’t that what a scooter would say … if it could talk?
Regardless, this little guy is cute and is just $3.95. It measures approximately 3″ x 4.5″. It doesn’t seem to be available in the stores so if you’re ordering a wedding gift or something for your house, tack this little guy on. Or order a bunch at once since shipping will cost more than the item itself. 🙁

This adorable little remote control scooter is a new accessory for the equally adorable Lalaloopsy dolls and their pets. The scooter moves forward, turns 360 degrees and can even pop wheelies. It also plays music and “makes silly Lalaloopsy sounds” (whatever those might be). There’s a popcorn pet basket on the front and in case taking along one pet isn’t enough, there’s also a seat for pets on the back. It comes in 27 Mhz and 49 Mhz models and is $34.99.

(Note the flower pattern in the hubcaps!)
Don’t like orange? No worries. Whisker Graphics has customizable print on demand and you can get labels, tags, business cards, stationery, etc. with this scooter on different colored paper stocks. Their prices are pretty reasonable so go nuts.
Have you noticed how much owl stuff there’s been over the last three years or so? They are everywhere. Now I’m wondering if the same thing is going to happen with hedgehogs. Here for your perusal are these eco-friendly birch notebooks. The Jotter is a mini notepad and is 3″ x 4 1/2″ and is $8.00. The Journal is 5 1/2″ x 7 1/2″ and is $18.50. And after you’ve used up the paper, get even more eco-friendly and use the covers as framable art.
Thanks to Tammy D. for these cute finds!
A scooter quartet does their thing with great layered details. It’s 100% cotton and has a feather-down insert so this may be a throw pillow you’ll actually use. It flips to a nice pop blue on the back, measures 16″ square and is a reasonable $29.95.

We’ve already featured Ikea’s Eivor Leva pattern in the bedding set but you can also buy the same fabric but with a black ground. (Which I think I like better.) I spotted this idea for covering a chest of drawers in the fabric in the latest Ikea catalog. That seems like a ton of frustrating work to me but then I may not be crafty enough.
Alas there’s no 3D scooter toy in this collection but there is a mod Julius magnet. Distract your kids with fries while you kype it from them.
