I apologize for not keeping up on the blog for the past two weeks. Spring finally came to Portland and with it, a Spring Scoot Rally, a Cute Bunnies & Kitties Scooter Club Easter Party, and oh the ever constant search for a job or at least more freelance work. Anyhoo the calendar got full. But I will rectify the lack of posts pronto.
In the meantime, please enjoy this photo of the Cute Bunnies & Kitties at our party. From left to right are Bianca, Cassie, Nicole and Tracy (me).
Cassie discovered Fat Kitty Falafel and I finally made it over to get a photo with this Portland, Oregon food cart on a glorious (finally!) Spring Thursday. Don’t know about where you live but Portland has become food cart central and it’s awesome. The cost of starting up a restaurant has gotten so prohibitive and this way check can strut their stuff without wrecking their credit.
Sitting on my 1960 VBA is the owner of Fat Kitty Falafel, the wonderful Al Herre. And he promises we’ll be some of the first to know when he prints some more t-shirts.
Here’s a new comic book series featuring scooters:
‘Pigtale’ is a contemporary story that takes place in present-day Portland, Oregon,” Nedelcu told CBR News. “It tells the exciting adventure of Boston Booth, an amateur Private Eye whose life is in financial and professional turmoil, when suddenly he runs into Clyde, an intelligent talking pig desperate to get away from his violent wolf stepbrother Taxx. Together, Boston & Clyde venture off into the face of danger to help one another overcome their fears, rescue loved ones, and save the city from Taxx, who’s bent on destroying Clyde, getting his revenge, and using the ‘Super-Plasma’ device to conquer the city and reign supreme!”
Not sure where to find this but check around.
Update:Â The comic’s website has a comic-shop locator where you can find a local source..
Modified has all kinds of very cool scooter related clothing and very cool non-scooter related clothing to boot. They can also do first-rate custom printing. Give them a visit at 1117 SE Division, Portland, OR. Or visit their website: Click here. .
